About Paul Rudd
Paul Rudd, labelled as “one of dance music’s hottest new DJ’S” [Richard Lee, Mastermix UK]. He has also recently been selected by judges to compete in the Unsigned One-to-Watch category of MTV’s ‘Brand New For 2012’ competition.
Paul's most recent single ‘More Amore’ is the track championing him in the MTV ‘Brand New for 2012’ competition, with an incessant piano motif, layered with weighty beats and heavy drops, it sounds like an old school club classic but with a modern twist.
Launching at London's Embassy Nightclub, Londoner Paul has recently returned from Europe after playing successful gigs to thousands of revellers in Wroclaw (Poland), with Hed Kandi in Ibiza at Ibiza Rocks, and was the headline act at The Square Mile Summer Party and The American Express VIP Centurion after party in London.
Although 2011 has been dubbed Paul's breakthrough year, he has been in the music industry since 1998 after winning 'Search for a Star' at the Capital Radio Cafe in Leicester Square with Neil Fox. Consequently he became a regular DJ during weekends with Jon O'Neil and Dan Gasser (Juice 107.2) and quickly moved to the main studios with Party Animal Neil Long (Radio Jackie) to assist with the Dance and Party Zones, and co-presented the 1999 New Year's Eve party from Leicester Square.
He gained his first residency at Galaxy Nightclub, London. From there he played at various clubs including Ritz, Time, The Crush, Blue Rooms (Liverpool), Stanley's (Manchester), Z Bar (Nottingham) and various bars and clubs in the Henry's chain.
After being talent spotted by Richard Lee at Mastermix UK (Music Factory Entertainment Group) he started remixing radio mixes for the likes of David Gray, Mis-teeq (Alesha Dixon), Elton John, Kylie, Michael Jackson, Basement Jaxx, Aerosmith, Daft Punk, Ke$ha, Alexander O'Neil to name a few. This has given him a prime spot on the Mastermix magazine with supporting CD cover mounts over the past few years.
He was also the Launch DJ for the P&O Cruise brand chain, Ocean Village and spent two years DJing around the world covering a variety of music from the 90's to current House and Dance floor classics. The past few summers have included various live performances in Ibiza, Majorca, Spain, France, Greece and New Years Eve in the Dominican Republic by personal request.
